About Mall World
Documenting the dream spaces we all share.
What is Mall World?
Many people around the world independently report visiting the same vast, impossible mall in their dreams. Fluorescent lights that hum wrong, endless corridors that loop back on themselves, stores selling things that don't exist, escalators that lead to floors that shouldn't be there. They call it Mall World.
It's not the only shared dream space. Pool World is an endless complex of swimming pools, waterparks, and aquatic labyrinths. And dreamers keep discovering more. These aren't isolated experiences. Thousands of people describe the same places, the same feelings, the same impossible architecture, without ever having spoken to each other.
This site exists to be the definitive resource for cataloging, mapping, and discussing these shared dreamscapes.
What We're Building
Mall World is a community platform organized around specific dream locations. Each location has its own section where users can upload images (AI-generated, drawn, photographed, all welcome), share dream journals, link Reddit posts and YouTube videos, comment, and vote on content.
The platform is community-driven with contributor roles. All uploaded media is auto-converted to .webp for efficiency, and users have storage quotas to keep things fair. The goal is to build the most comprehensive archive of shared dream spaces on the internet.
We plan to open-source this platform so anyone can run their own community or audit how we handle data. The code is designed to be clean, portable, and adaptable.
Community Guidelines
All content is welcome: AI-generated images, hand-drawn sketches, photographs, articles, videos, dream journals. The only thing we discourage is fabricated dreams presented as real experiences. If you made it up, say so. If you dreamed it, share it.
Be respectful, contribute meaningfully, and help build something worth exploring.
Funding & Transparency
We fund Mall World entirely out of pocket. The server costs, the domain, the development time. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't need donations right now.
If that ever changes, if the community grows beyond what we can sustain ourselves, we'll be completely transparent about why we're asking and exactly how the money gets used. No surprises, no fine print.
You don't even need an email address to join. No spam, no newsletters, no "engagement" emails. Just a community about dreams.
