What Mall World Is

Mall World is a community platform for documenting and discussing shared dream spaces — those impossible malls, infinite pools, and surreal architectures that thousands of people independently report visiting in their dreams. It's built and funded by people who find this phenomenon genuinely fascinating.

Your Account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Your account is secured with passkey (WebAuthn) authentication. Keep your devices secure.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Adding an email address is optional but enables account recovery if you lose access to your passkeys.
• One account per person. Alt accounts for ban evasion will be removed.

Content & Conduct

All content is welcome — AI-generated images, hand-drawn sketches, photographs, dream journals, videos, discussion. The only things we don't allow:

• Illegal content — anything that violates applicable law.
• Harassment — targeted abuse, threats, doxxing, or intimidation.
• Spam — repetitive, low-effort, or automated content.
• Fabricated dreams presented as real — if you made it up, label it as such. Fiction is welcome; dishonesty isn't.
• Malicious uploads — files designed to exploit, damage, or compromise the platform or its users.

Content Ownership

You retain all rights to content you create and post. By posting, you grant Mall World a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content on the platform. You can delete your content at any time.

When you delete a post with replies, the text is replaced with "[deleted]" (like Reddit) to preserve conversation context, but your username is removed.

Moderation

Our moderators can:

• Hide content that violates these terms
• Remove content permanently in severe cases
• Temporarily or permanently ban accounts

We aim to moderate fairly and consistently. If you think an action was taken in error, contact support@mallworld.org.

Storage Quotas

Each account has a storage quota for uploaded media (default 50 MB). Very long text posts also count against quota. This keeps things fair and the servers running smoothly.

Funding & Advertising

Mall World is self-funded. We don't run ads, we don't accept venture capital, and we don't sell data. If costs ever exceed what we can cover, we'll be completely transparent about it and explore community-supported options — never advertising or data monetization.

Availability

We'll do our best to keep Mall World available, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We're a small team running this out of genuine interest, not a corporation with an SLA. We don't guarantee backup or recovery of your content — keep copies of anything important to you.

Termination

You can stop using Mall World at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. In cases of severe or repeated violations, we may ban accounts permanently.

Disclaimer

Mall World is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for content posted by users, downtime, data loss, or dreams that get weirder after joining this community.

Changes

We may update these terms. Changes will be announced in the News section. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
