The landing that isn't on any floor

Between the third and fourth floors — always between, never on — there is a landing with a window. The window looks out on a parking lot at dusk, though it is never dusk anywhere else in the building. Time feels parked there. I have stood on that landing for what should have been an hour and come away certain no time had passed.

Stairwell reports keep mentioning these in-between places: a landing with a door that opens onto brick, a landing with a vending machine that hums a familiar song, a landing wider than the building could contain.

What is on your landing? I want to map these, because I suspect they connect to each other more than they connect to the floors above and below them.
