The Airport that is also a mall
Third recurring space, and the one that overlaps the mall most literally: the Airport. Gate numbers past the food court. Boarding calls echoing down a corridor of storefronts. A flight you are about to miss to a city that does not exist, through a terminal that keeps offering you shops instead of gates.
In mine, security is always already behind me — I never pass through it, I have always just passed through it — and my luggage is somewhere reachable in exactly the way the end of an escalator is reachable while you are still on it.
Do you dream the Airport? Does yours share walls with your mall, or is it its own building? Reports here, and like the School, enough of them earns it a place on the atlas.
