The water is always the right temperature

Something I have noticed across every pool dream I have written down: the water is never cold. Never too hot. It is always exactly the temperature that means you stop noticing you are in water at all, which may be the point.

Waking pools are all friction — chlorine sting, shivering, the shock of getting in. The dream pool skips all of it, like the building knows what a pool is supposed to feel like and renders only the welcome.
